Running Achievements
Selected to run for England in the marathon at the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, India on 14 October 2010. Automatically selected for the team, as a result of finishing 2nd English lady at the London Marathon. Finished 8th in the race.
Selected to run for Great Britain and Northern Ireland in the marathon at the European Championships in Barcelona on 31 July 2010. Automatically selected for the European Marathon Cup team, which is incorporated into the European Championships, as a result of finishing 3rd British lady at the London Marathon. Finished 21st in the race and helped the GB team finish in 3rd place, receiving bronze medals in the Olympic Stadium.
Selected by England Athletics for Team England in the Scotiabank International Challenge at the Toronto Marathon in September 2008 and again selected for September 2009; the first athlete to receive the invite twice.
3rd British lady finisher at the London Marathon in April 2010, improving from 5th in 2009 and 9th in 2008.
12 personal best times and club records over 7 different distances from 5km to marathon in 2008, a further 8 in 2009 and 3 to date in 2010 (as at July).
Bettered previous time in each of the first 8 marathon runs, the sequence only being broken by a very hot day in Barcelona in July 2010
